Banco Sabadell‘s use of a flashmob for it’s 130th anniversary is one of the most successful viral campaign in the financial services marketing so far. It is also a nice homage to the second biggest city of Catalonia, which is a hometown of the bank.
The flashmob, being a final part of the campaign “We are Sabadell” was done with participation of 100 people from the Vallès Symphony Orchestra, the Lieder, Amics de l’Òpera and Coral Belles Arts choirs.
Flashmob video published on 21st of May 2012 is still attracting visitors worldwide. At the time of writing this article it has reached 16 million views and more than 14 thousand comments on YouTube itself. It also earned numerous media mentions.
